Pigmen

I've been thinking about pigmen a lot recently. They're not something I've ever used in dungeon games myself, but the Wednesday OD&D game Gearing runs features them heavily and they're lodging themselves in my head as something I want more of.

I'm unsure why they're so likeable. There's something uncanny about pigs. They have human eyes, they're intelligent. Their meat is the closest to ours. But they're ravenous and lack self control, they're vindictive, and given enough time they'll chew through anything.

Are pigs the dark shadow of humanity? Do the pigmen in the dungeon represent the base desires we want to fulfil when we delve into the dark and lose ourselves?

Or are they just cool weird little guys? Who knows.

Anyway. Here's a pigman for a dungeon game.

The fat absorbs the shock from bludgeoning weapons, which deal only half damage. Can't be poisoned.
